Are Defensive Classes For ME?

I get this question a lot, and sometimes I do not get it at all when I think it is pertinent. You purchased a firearm for self-defense, no? Or just for plinking?  you KNOW YOUR reason, I know mine.

If it was for self-defense, the question is not is the class for ME? The question is, am I ready to take a defensive class?

One way to find out is to reach out to an instructor who teaches a self-defense pistol curriculum and hire him to look for inconsistencies or any home-grown nuances or bad habits that are unsafe from self-reliance or self-taught from online video "instructors".

I am not knocking on the video instructors themselves, I am just saying, you can watch all the videos you want, but just be sure you know how to convert them to "real-life", or ask an instructor in-person is this something that can be used in a real-life situation, or "why" you would use a technique instead of I just learned this on the online video and this is the end of all moves.

Nope. Not gonna cut it.

If you are shooting well with an instructor and the instructor does not constantly correct you on safety issues, you are ready to take on a defensive course ( in my opinion ) the proof will be in the results if you passed, or failed the curriculum.

Defensive courses are designed for students who are interested in learning self-defense.
